    Occhipinti Il Frappato '23

    The Frappato grapes used for this bottling were harvested from 40-year-old vines, planted in the vineyards Bastonaca and Fossa di Lupo. The wine was fermented in cement tanks with indigenous yeasts, with 25 days of maceration on the skins. Élevage was carried out in a combination of vessels, including concrete tanks for six months and 30-hectoliter Austrian oak barrels for 14 months, and one month in bottle. Aromas of fresh, ripe red cherry, raspberry, and pomegranate are layered with notes of anise, cinnamon, tobacco, and peony.

    In our humble opinion, this is the best Il Frappato ever produced from Arianna!
